what do you call it? a car-hole.

tonight at work:

mullets spotted: 2

time spent in closet by the fitting room: 45 minutes (while fixing the tagger guns, a skill that no one else seems to have. someone rang to be let into the fitting room while i was in there, and i burst out of the closet and scared her to death.)

lee ann womack song heard: 4 times (and since i was only in the building for 7.5 hours, that is more than once every two hours. there's plenty of other crap music, folks, mix it up a little.)

anyway, work was fairly enjoyable tonight. it's been really slow lately, so we just have to sort of stand around and make sure racks of clothing don't wander away. erica (who is a coworker, er, i mean teammate, of mine) and i named the shopping carts we were using: freddy, suzie, and fiona, for those of you keeping score at home.

well, anyway, it was enjoyable until i left. there's this guy that's there every night when i leave, and it just makes me really sad for some reason. he's always wearing a uniform from a factory that i worked at one summer, and if he works second shift (which he must, i've decided, he must go straight to meijer. every night. i wish i had some sort of evidence that he does have a family or something to go home to, because all this does is make me worry about my future. i'm only almost 20 years old and i'm already worried about spending my adult life alone. this is crazy.

moving on to brighter horizons, today was the beginning of clarksville area garage sale weekend!! um, i didn't go to any, even though i have been looking forward to this ever since i saw the flyer (is that spelled right? flier doesn't look right to me either, for some reason) in the post office last week. clarksville garage sales are always a little difficult, because it's possible to know, at least by sight, everybody in town. so you know whose junk you're buying, and that makes me uncomfortable. oh well, i will go tomorrow, regardless of any feelings of discomfort.

garage sales are what summer is all about.
