reynard the fox

the computer foiled my plans to actually do an entry yesterday. i even had something really interesting worked up, but it doesn't seem so great anymore.

here it is anyway, though: it was a beautiful sunny day, and suddenly i thought, "i can't possibly live with hair like this for another day." so i asked where i could find the cheapest haircut in ann arbor, and was directed to supercuts by one of my housemates. it was awfully cheap, and they have a card that you get punched everytime you get a haircut, and once you get 10, you get a free haircut! of course, at the rate i get haircuts, it'll be 10 years before i get a free one. there are all these partial prizes along the way -- $2 off a haircut, 20% off any product, a free shampoo.

about the shampoo -- i don't know if there's something wrong with me, but somehow i can't resist paying the extra three dollars to have someone else wash my hair. it doesn't matter if i just washed my hair that morning or twenty minutes ago or whatever -- if a shampoo is an option, i definitely take it.

the weather has been disgustingly nice for the past couple of days. i probably should've worn my skirt today, because there's no guarantee that tomorrow will be so great. but i specifically wanted to wear it on a thursday. i have a hierarchy of clothes to wear on certain days of the week, much like the hierarchy of forks that i pick from to eat with (which got overthrown today because i was in such a hurry to go downstairs and watch the simpsons. social smocial.)

it seems like there was some other important aspect of yesterday that i thought should be recorded. ah yes -- the peach tea that saved my entire evening. i was in such a bad mood. but the tea made everything better.

and now -- which text should i use for my middle english project? reynard the fox or just some other part of the "The Owl and the Nightingale." i went to talk to my professor today, and i actually forgot to ask him what, exactly, we're supposed to do. oh well. hopefully it will all just become apparent sometime before i actually have to do my presentation.
